TWO OPPORTUNITIES TO JOIN A “RELAY FOR LIFE” TEAM

Below is information on two Relay for Life teams with contacts at St. Alban’s.  Note: St. Alban’s does not have a team of our own this year.  Please read and join or contribute to one of these teams if you have not already committed to a team of your own.  Everyone at St. Alban’s has someone they care about who is dealing with cancer in some manner or they are personally affected.  Here is a chance to fight back by raising funds for research and walking in support of or in the memory of those we love.  For more information contact Carol Richardson at cm_rich@pacbell.net  or               (925)...       .

RELAY 4 LIFE – 24 HOUR WALK ­ JOANNE ROMAN AND FRIENDS

Relay 4 Life is a 24 hour walk to raise money and awareness regarding Cancer.  The walk is Saturday, June 21 10 AM-Sunday, June 22 10 AM,

Brentwood Liberty High School.  Everyone is invited to walk.  We are looking for family/friends to be Team Members, who would be willing to raise $100 (10 people/$10 & aT-shirt) and be there as a support for the team.  Last year our team raised over $4,000 last year!  Everyone can be a part.  Please see Joanne Roman or call me               925-809-7360       . To make a donation, checks are made out to ACS or American Cancer Society.  I thank all of you for your support, please help make this a better year by raising more money to stamp out Cancer.

RELAY 4 LIFE – 24 HOUR WALK ­ TEAM OVERTURF AND THE BOY SCOUTS

As many of you know, Kathy Overturf has been struggling with ovarian cancer for many months. As a Troop we have decided to walk in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in Brentwood this June 21st to honor Kathy.  Kathy has been a scout leader and mentor for many young boys in our group and is an integral member of our scouting family.

Many people ask, "What Can I do?" Let's do something positive and support this event!  We have created a team to honor Kathy, calling our team, "Team Overturf". Team members will be walking the track in shifts for the 24 hours of the Relay for Life Event at LibertyHigh Schoolin Brentwood.

Please visit the link below to join our team (become a walker and raise money), donate to our team or donate by purchasing a luminary for Kathy.  Luminaries are candles placed in bags that surround the walking track. The bags are decorated to honor cancer survivors or victims.

Relay For Life® is about celebration, remembrance, and hope. By participating, we can honor all cancer survivors, pay tribute to the lives we've lost to the disease and raise money to help fight cancer.
